I'm alive! I'M ALIVE! But only just barely.

Thank you for all the phone calls that I haven't answered and emails that I haven't checked. (My new mantra: I Will Not Always Be This Tired.) Please know that I feel very loved but with a mere hour between feeding sessions I can either choose to sleep, eat, or shower. (I haven't figured out the whole multitasking-while-breastfeeding thing yet. Or how to nurse without completely disrobing.)

But you don't care about this booshit! (That's not technically a curse word, right?) The boy has been born! And he is awesome! And HUGE! (9 lbs. 6 oz. Delivered vaginally. The birth story, she's a whopper.)

STATS:

Length - 21"
Weight - 9 lbs. 6 oz. (I never get tired of mentioning that.)
Hair - Strawberry blond
Eyes - Blue (Although I fear they will change to mama's less exciting hazel far too soon.)

Sorry to blog and bolt but mama needs to eat. In the meantime, here are a few pics to tide you over. More soon, I promise!

That child is ADORABLE. Those cheeks. Do you just pinch and kiss them all the time? I do believe that is how I would spend my time.
Glad to see that you all are well and happy and hungry apparently. A child that size has got a powerful appetite I imagine. I will call soon!

Yay! Congrats to you all! Good for you for breastfeeding. It's like liquid gold! You should drop your baby weight really fast since you are nursing. Good luck and have lots of fun. Isn't that baby smell just intoxicating? Take good care of yourself, too. You will be really hungry with nursing, at least I was. And you are a trooper for birthing a nine-and-a-halfer!

Cute! Squishable cheeks! Eee!

Don't worry about disrobing while nursing. I spent the first 4 weeks pretty much naked from the waist up. You get to wear more clothing as they learn to sleep a little more.

It will happen.

Soonish.

Yay you for vaginal delivery! I'm looking forward to hearing your story.

Breastmilk IS liquid gold! Do it as long as you can! Congrats on the V-delivery -- 9 pounds! Whew!

It's easy to get lost in simply staring at this new little person, huh?
