LIke I'll have time to read

Say, if any of you mamas out there have any dog-eared parenting books lying around, I'd sure love to take them off your hands. I'm thinking specifically:

- The Happiest Baby on the Block
- Secrets of the Baby Whisperer
- The Idiot's Guide to Parenting
- Parenting for Dummies

Am I the only one who sees a pattern here?

Ooooh, Happiest Baby on the Block is a must...in my opinion. You should be able to rent the DVD from the library, actually. I think watching the techniques helps.

Dear Ali:

Thank you for mentioning Dr. Karp's book "The Happiest Baby on the Block". Like Lisa mentioned, The Happiest Baby on the Block DVD is great for parents who do not have time to read the book.

Most new moms find this visual approach a much simpler and faster way to learn Dr. Karp’s great techniques. (Dads love watching this very “hands-on” DVD, too!) Dr. Karp’s 5 S’s techniques, as shown on the DVD, soothes crying infants within minutes and helps babies sleep an extra 1-2 hours nightly.

Dr. Karp also stresses the importance of using white noise all night to help improve and increase your baby’s sleep. Parents repeatedly tell us that the DVD and our white noise Super Soothing Sleep Sounds CD work almost immediately to calm fussing and to help their babies sleep longer.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

Best wishes,
