When I told my mom I was writing for Time Out New York, she thought I meant the New York Times. That explains the excitement.

I'm hanging an OUT OF THE OFFICE sign on the ol' blog door this week. Mama has landed herself her first real magazine assignment - and a desire to speak in third person, it seems - and I'm scrambling over the deadline. 'Twil return, I promise.
