Typing with one hand is tedius.

Er, I fear that I smooshed some toes in that last post. No smooshing intended, I swear! C'mon, bitching about the Midwest is the god-given right of anyone who grew up there! (AND WHO PLANS ON MOVING BACK!) I mock because I care. (Although I still say that cookie cutter tract homes are destroying the Heartland.)

We cool?

No toes bruised here. I don't completely disagree with some of what you say. I am sad every time I go west of Wanamaker Road and see all the housing developments where every.single.house.is.the.same.

We made a very conscious effort to avoid that very thing and turned down several houses when we were looking because they were too boring.

When are ya moving back? We'll help! We're ready for you! Cooommmee HOOOOOOOOOMMMMEEEE!!!!!

The red meat and potatoes are calling......

As someone who's in the same city as you right now, I recommend staying.

Come to Denver. We have suburbs, but they have a great view of the mountains!!

So how does it feel to know that everyone apparently wants you in their neighborhood?

Colorado has better winter weather than KS.

I'm just sayin'. : )

Besides, you could then drive a few hours and BE in KS.

Tract homes are the price we all pay for booming development, though. Unfortunate but true.

I thought about my reply to you all night and I believe that it is me who needs to do the appologizing for toe steppn'. I too hated T-town and could not wait to get out. After spending over two years in Emporia the toilet of Kansas and a summer in Springfield, MO, I can understand why one would have distain for the midwest. I also get a constant earful about the horros of NYC from my hubby who lived there for two years while attending AADA. Of course, that's just he's manic depressive opinion. I just have to say that K.C. offers both a family-friendly, community based lifestyle along with many high quality cultural events, especially if you consider BBQ and the rodeo culture. There may not a lot of opportunities to make a living here as an artist, but plane tickets to NY from here would be a H-E-L-L of a lot less than daycare for one year there. We just luv ya and miss ya.

BTW, you'd be amazed at just how good you can get typing with just one hand.
